A Mind Best Left Behind
'A Mind Best Left Behind' is an expression of an uncanny inner liminal space that evades verbal articulation. Nothing happens within these greyscale graphite and charcoal drawings on paper nothing happens. Yet in these suffocating vacuums of apathy, emotions fester and come to blows. People and places appear abandoned to a void of thought and time that pervades an external appearance of calm. These sinister scenes stand at the apex of coalescing emotional states right before the dam gives into the pressure. We anticipate the inevitable descent into madness at any moment. Still, nothing happens.
Governed by the darker aspects of human emotions, this series documents instances of an altered reality alongside perpetual feelings of restlessness and immovability.
